Internship Summary
Join Monona Plumbing and Fire Protections Fire Protection team and gain hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing fire safety systems. This internship offers a comprehensive look at fire protection operations from start to finish and allows you to work closely with experienced project managers, designers, field foreman and department leaders.
Duties & Accountabilities
Assist in compiling and preparing bids for fire protection projects.
Learn about fire sprinkler systems, industry codes, and compliance standards.
Shadow project managers and contribute to planning and scheduling tasks.
Participate in team meetings to gain insight into project operations.
Work with department managers and the safety director to understand safety protocols.
Learn to navigate project lifecycles and deliverables that lead to efficient and profitable outcomes.
Support field teams with site visits to observe system installation, coordination, and troubleshooting.
Present a summary of your learnings and contributions to the leadership team at the end of the summer.

Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.

Rate Range
$20-$22/hour, dependent on experience & skills
