Now Hiring: Lifeguards & Head Lifeguard – Summer 2025
Location: Camp Muffly, Morgantown, WV
Seasonal Position: Mid-May – September 2025
Pool Opens: May 24, 2025
Camp Muffly is looking for dedicated, safety-minded individuals to join our 2025 summer pool staff! Whether you’re an experienced lifeguard or looking to start your first season, we’ve got opportunities for you.
If you're not certified yet — no worries! We can help you get lifeguard certified through the American Red Cross.
Available Positions: Head Lifeguard
Responsibilities:
- Schedule and manage lifeguard staff
- Maintain a safe and controlled pool environment
- Guard from the stand and monitor shallow areas
- Conduct hourly water quality tests
- Handle cash and operate the register
- Oversee daily opening and closing procedures
- Perform general pool and facility maintenance
Requirements:
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (including Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED)
- Previous lifeguarding experience required
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
Lifeguards
Responsibilities:
- Supervise swimmers from the stand and monitor shallow areas
- Conduct hourly water testing
- Operate the cash register and handle customer interactions
- Keep pool and bathrooms clean and stocked
- Assist with daily opening and closing tasks
Requirements:
- Lifeguard Certification (American Red Cross preferred)
- CPR/AED Certification required
- Responsible, alert, and a team player
