EVALUATION: PERFORMANCE OF THIS JOB WILL BE EVALUATED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE BOARD'S POLICY ON EVALUATION OF PROFESSIONAL PERSONNEL.
JOB SUMMARY: THE ASSISTANT MANAGER OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES PLAYS A VITAL ROLE IN ENSURING THE SAFE, EFFICIENT, AND RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION OPERATIONS, SUPERVISES STAFF, COORDINATES ROUTES, ENSURES COMPLIANCE WITH STATE AND FEDERAL REGULATIONS AND SUPPORTS THE TRANSPORTATION MANAGER IN MANAGING THE OVERALL DEPARTMENT.
QUALIFICATIONS:
BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT, BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION OR A RELATED FIELD PREFERRED
MINIMUM OF 3-5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN SCHOOL TRANSPORTATION , LOGISTICS OR FLEET MANAGEMENT IS PREFERRED
SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE IN A TRANSPORTATION OR OPERATIONS SETTING IS HIGHLY DESIRABLE
CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES:
COMMERICAL DRIVER'S LICENSE (CDL) WITH SCHOOL BUS ENDORSEMENT (OR WILLINGNESS TO OBTAIN)
CERTIFICATION IN STUDENT TRANSPORTATION SAFETY AND MANAGEMENT IS A PLUS
FIRST AID AND CPR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED
