Description
The Engineer Process role is a hands-on position with a strong support presence on the manufacturing floor. MonoSol's Process Engineers are involved in projects designed to improve product quality, assist in the preparation and execution of tests and procedures, develop cost reduction strategies and increase overall plant efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Testing/Trial
Use product specifications to design test procedures and standards. Develop product specification via designed tests/trials.
- Technical Troubleshooting
Conduct routine tasks in technical troubleshooting, which include basic diagnostic and simple problem-solving tasks related to equipment and experiments.
- Root Cause Analysis
Conduct routine operations in root cause analysis, including basic data analysis, preliminary issue investigation, and identification of underlying causes.
- Engineering Solutions Design
Contribute to the development of, and implement feasibility testing of, proposed engineering solutions to provide feedback and data to validate the design.
- Improvement/Innovation
Implement improvements and provide feedback on them. Use change management systems and protocols to provide routine support services.
- Policy Development and Implementation
Provide routine support services to production/quality departments.
- Work Scheduling and Allocation
Design own monthly schedule and, if necessary, assign work to others in order to speed up office workflow and ensure high-priority tasks get done.
- Needs Assessment
Collect information to gain a better understanding of routine procedural queries.
- Solutions Analysis
Find the most effective ways to respond to routine functional inquiries. Involves following procedures and precedents.
- Product and Solution Development
Support others by carrying out a range of product development and engineering activities, such as analyzing client situations or interpreting data.
- Personal Capability Building
Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
- Project Management
Support others by carrying out a range of project management activities.
Tasks
- Develop and maintain work instructions, process specifications and tolerances. Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and resolve problems effectively.
- Provide process expertise to manufacturing team. Collect and analyze process data.
- Provide plant floor support for experimental production trials.
- Identify needs, implement and manage capital projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in applicable area of study or 8 years of applicable technical experience.
- Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems (7 to 12 months}. Without degree, 8 years of applicable technical experience.
