We are looking for a System Engineer II to join the Monotype Team. The ideal candidate should be a hands-on IT expert with a passion to solve problems and create solutions. This individual will be in a highly visible role in the corporate headquarters; they will own a variety of responsibilities that contribute to the operational efficiency and security of Monotype.
What you'll be doing :
- Managing and maintaining on-premises IT systems, primarily utilizing VMware ESXi in our on-site datacenter.
- Monitor datacenter health using pre-existing management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers as needed.
- Working ability on Automation tools and Scripting languages.
- Overseeing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain cloud-based applications and services. (O365 / OKTA).
- Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring high availability and reliability of all IT systems.
- Conducting regular security assessments and implementing necessary patches and updates to ensure compliance and security.
- Providing technical support and guidance to other team members and departments as needed.
- Documenting system configurations, procedures, and changes to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
