The Executive Director of Operations is responsible for oversight of the operational departments of the BOCES including Operations & Maintenance, Safety and Security, Transportation and Food Service. The Executive Director will lead key operational initiatives and collaborate with multiple program administrators as necessary to ensure that the operational needs of the organization are being met.

The Executive Director of Operations is responsible for oversight of the operational departments of the BOCES including Operations & Maintenance, Safety and Security, Transportation and Food Service. The Executive Director will lead key operational initiatives and collaborate with multiple program administrators as necessary to ensure that the operational needs of the organization are being met.
The Executive Director of Operations reports to the Assistant Superintendent for Finance & Operations
Duties
- Assist the District Superintendent, in collaboration with other Cabinet members, with day-to-day operations of Monroe 1 BOCES.
- Provide direct supervision to, and operational oversight of, the Director of Safety and Security, the Director of Transportation, Monroe 1 BOCES Records Management, the Director of Food Services and the Building Maintenance Supervisor of Operations & Maintenance.
- Work with the Director of Sustainability, the Director of Safety and Security, and the Health and Safety representatives from the Genesee Valley BOCES, to monitor, review, and update the BOCES safety, security, and emergency plans.
- Assist, as necessary, the Assistant Superintendent for Finance & Operations and In House Counsel with all lease agreements prior to Board of Education approval.
- Collaborate, when necessary, with the Assistant Superintendent for Finance & Operations, In House Counsel and the Program Administrators, on contracts prior to Board of Education approval.
- Contribute as necessary to the Management Steering Committee, District Wide Safety Committee, Policy Committee and other committees as warranted.
- All other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent for Finance & Operations
- NYS Certification as a School District Business Leader (SDBL), School Business Administrator (SBA), School District Leader (SDL), or School District Administrator (SDA) required.
- Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills required.
- At least five years prior experience as a School District Administrator or similar supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge and experience regarding BOCES programs, services and operations preferred.
- Knowledge of school transportation, school safety, school food services, operations and maintenance and general school finance preferred.
Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
