Job Description
Teach one of the following summer school courses:
- Grade 6: Math Clinic
- Grade 7: Math Clinic
- Grade 8: Math Clinic
Program Dates:
- July 10, Staff only, seven (7) hours
- July 14 - August 5, four and a half (4.5) hours per day (no school 7/11, 7/18. 7/25, 8/1)
- August 6, five (5) hours, administering & grading of final assessments
- Must be able to work all dates
TYPICAL DUTIES:
- Plan and teach lessons daily.
- Teach to NYS Next Generation Learning Standards.
- Assess student performance and complete progress report.
- Bring own non-consumable materials such as books from home school, stapler, ruler, non-consumable desk supplies. BOCES 2 will provide consumable paper, and dry erase supplies.
- Classroom management, including home contact.
- Prepare program evaluation report for districts at conclusion of program.
- Perform other such duties as may be assigned by the Regional Summer School site principal.
Job Qualifications
Experience: Previous middle school teaching experience preferred.
Educational: Appropriate NYS Teacher Certification required.
