Job Description
Due to growth within, Monroe County Hospital & Clinics is seeking a full-time Clinical Informaticist to join our team.
Primary duties for this position include:
- Actively participates in the development, training, competencies, and implementation/upgrades of EHR or other clinical systems.
- Supports staff in the use of the EHR and clinical information systems.
- Fields inquiries, directs resources, and leads cross-functional teams to utilize the system to its fullest capacity.
- Actively participates and supports the educating superusers on correct procedures and use of the EHR system.
- Actively evaluates and promotes the use of technology to improve clinical documentation processes across all clinical departments.
- Participates in successfully reporting core measure data to promote interoperability requirements from Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
- Develops, builds and maintains EHR reports as needed/requested by departments.
- Leads, develops, implements, and supports clinical care providers and medical staff in the utilization of clinical information systems.
- Works directly with medical providers, clinical teams, and information system vendors in modifying and designing systems to improve workflow and making necessary changes to meet the needs of end users.
- Orients new providers to the EHR system as requested/needed.
- Shares and promotes best practices of EHR functionality within the organization.
- Actively participates on the IT steering team.
- Troubleshoots clinical system issues.
- Regular and reliable attendance.

- Maintains patient and hospital confidentiality.
- Promotes and maintains positive relationships with patients, visitors, coworkers, and providers.
