What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian (M-F 4:30pm-1:00am) position at Monroe County, PA?
Monroe County PA’s Maintenance Department is currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team for the night shift. This position reports to the Custodial Supervisor and will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness across various county-owned facilities. The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong work ethic, the ability to work independently during nighttime hours, & the drive to ensure our premises remain clean, safe, and welcoming to all.
Minimum qualifications for the position are as follows:
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED
- Must possess six (6) months previous experience and/or training involving custodial work or building maintenance; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.
- The Custodian position may require possession and maintenance of a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license as well.
