The Monroe County District Attorney's Office is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Detective to join our team. This position is responsible for conducting thorough criminal investigations, gathering and analyzing evidence, and assisting the District Attorney and legal staff in preparing cases for court.
Key duties include investigating crimes against persons and property, interviewing witnesses and suspects, maintaining evidence and records, executing subpoenas and arrests, and testifying in court. This role offers a unique opportunity to support justice by ensuring the integrity of legal proceedings and enhancing public safety in Monroe County.
Minimum qualifications for the position are as follows:
- Must possess an Associates' Degree in criminal justice or related field.
- Must possess three (3) years of previous experience and/or training as a certified peace officer; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for the role
- Must possess & maintain a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
- Must be licensed by the state of Pennsylvania as a certified peace officer.
