The Treasure Village Montessori School in Islamorada, Florida, is seeking candidates to fill the position of Vice Principal. The individual will be working closely with the Principal and staff to foster an established learning environment consistent with Montessori methodology, community service and respect for all learners.
Minimum qualifications include :
- Eligibility for Florida certification in Educational Leadership or School Principal.
- Minimum of four years of teaching experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of Florida education standards, required testing and curriculum development
- Familiarity with Montessori methodology and charter school law
- Proven experience in developing and implementing a school budget
- Strong leadership skills
- Montessori certification or willingness to achieve such within three years of employment
Strong candidates will be able to show evidence of innovation, creativity, and flexibility in a collaborative team-building environment. A working knowledge of Spanish is a plus. Experience in community fund-raising efforts desirable.
