What are the responsibilities and job description for the Florida Keys Teaching Positions for the 2025-2026 School Year position at Monroe County School District?
Teach where the world vacations! Enjoy our beautiful community, share your talent, and enable our kids to reach new heights! The Florida Keys is a 100-mile-long string of Islands connected to South Florida by a scenic Overseas Highway. It takes about 2.5 hours to drive from the very top of the keys to the southernmost point. We have 10 district schools and 7 charter schools. Our largest school is Key West High School with 1,319 total students.
Monroe County School District is actively accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year. To ensure a smooth transition, we strongly encourage all applicants to secure housing prior to the summer of 2025. Waiting until the Summer can make finding housing challenging, and we want our new hires to start their journey with us stress-free. Explore our map of school locations and access our new employee resource guide at https://www.applitrack.com/keysschools/onlineapp/. Our superintendent recognizes that affordable housing is our greatest barrier to recruitment. Therefore, we are working on building 150 affordable housing units in Key West. However, these won’t be operational for about 5 years. In the meantime, the key to securing housing is starting your search as early as possible. By making job offers as early as March 2025, we hope that this will give teachers ample time to find housing.
