What are the responsibilities and job description for the First Assistant Golf Professional position at Monroe Golf Club?
The First Assistant Professional will serve as a main point of contact for our operation's Membership and Professional Staff. This role will actively develop our current staff by overseeing our day-to-day operations and tournament operations, and it will play a significant role in our teaching and fitting program. The successful candidate will also receive experience in managing, planning, and budgeting for a golf operation that exceeds $1 million in annual revenues. This role is designed to help a person learn the necessary skills while gaining the experience needed to be successful in a Head Professional or Director of Golf role!
Direct Responsibilities:
- Oversee planning, preparation, & execution of leagues and tournaments
- Assist with Hiring of Seasonal Staff and Golf ServicesTeam
- Build and Execute staff training programs
- Involved with the annual budgeting process
- Ensure the member experience remains at a high level in the absence of the Head Professional
- Provide first-class teaching and coaching programs
- Enjoy golf with members regularly
- Serve as a Golf Ambassador around the club and within the community for Monroe Golf Club
