4th Grade Elementary Teacher (Maternity Leave Coverage)
Position Description
Under the general supervision of the Principal, to develop students' skills and competence in grade level principles.
Essential Performance Responsibilities
Education/Experience: Bachelors from an accredited college or university in Education preferred.
Compensation: Anticipated service days include April through May 2025. Per board policy, an individual who holds a professional license or provisional license and serves as a substitute teacher in the same teaching position for more than fifteen (15) consecutive school days shall be compensated on the regular pay schedule for Corporation teachers.

Essential Performance Responsibilities
- Administers curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives.
- Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning.
- Develops lesson plans and instructional materials.
- Translates lesson plans into learning experiences so as to best utilize the available time for instruction.
- Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student's needs, including students with special needs; conducts individual small group instruction as needed.
- Organizes and maintains a system for accurate and complete record-keeping, grading, and reporting for all student activities, achievement and attendance as required by district procedures and applicable laws.
- Encourages parental involvement in students' education and ensures effective communication with students and parents.
- Coordinates with other professional staff members, especially within grade level and participates in faculty meetings.
- Administers standardized tests in accordance with district testing programs.
