Responsibilities
- Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice, directing and guiding patient/family teaching, and activities of other nursing personnel.
- Communicate with physicians about changes in patients' clinical conditions, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality, adhering to EMTALA regulations and reporting child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. setting preferred.
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
