The receptionist performs clerical duties for the Wound Care Department such as answering telephones, greeting patients and preparing requisitions for outpatients. Other duties include, but are not limited to, filing patient reports, retrieving patient records for physicians or medical records. The Wound Care receptionist should demonstrate adequate knowledge of the usual terminology of tests ordered. This person should demonstrate good telephone etiquette and be able to greet patients and other visitors in a polite and friendly manner. Maneuvers through reception area, as well as, outside storage area. Provides clerical support by utilizing telephone, computer, office equipment, and by running errands throughout the facility.
