What are the responsibilities and job description for the Long Term Care Administrator position at Monroe Manor Nursing Home?
Duties:
- Supervise and manage all aspects of the nursing home facility
- Oversee and coordinate the delivery of quality care to residents, including specialized care for those with dementia
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of nurses and other healthcare professionals
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards
- Manage medication administration and ensure proper documentation
- Utilize financial acumen to develop and manage budgets effectively
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and optimal resident care
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance the quality of care provided
- Foster a positive work environment and promote professional development among staff members
Requirements:
- Valid nursing license (RN or LPN) with experience in senior care
- Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably as a nursing home administrator
- Knowledge of dementia care best practices and specialized care techniques
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage a team and work collaboratively with other departments
- Experience in budgeting and financial management within a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus
