Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff and coordinate patient care activities across departments, reports to DON/ADON
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment.
- Monitor and evaluate patient vital signs, ensuring timely interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with medical staff on critical care cases and develop care plans for patients.
- Conduct regular assessments of patient needs in areas such as geriatics and memory care.
- Facilitate training sessions for staff on best practices care of nursing home residents
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with ICD-10 coding standards.
- Address any issues or concerns raised by patients or family members promptly.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical-surgical practices and critical care protocols.
- Proficiency in infection control measures and procedures.
- Experience with geriatric residents
