This is for an Extended School Year (ESY) program and is considered a BOCES ESY position.

LOCATION OF POSITION: Monroe One BOCES - 41 O’Connor Road, Fairport NY 14450; Various Locations
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: July 10, 2025 - August 20, 2025. Hours vary by program. For all BOCES Programs Pre and Post summer trainings and set-up as directed.
Mandatory Summer Set-Up Meetings:
June 4th = O’Connor Academy, eStart, Transition/Employment, Creekside (BPA Unit TES Staff)
June 11th = Creekside (BUP Unit)
June 12th = Bird/Morgan
SALARY RANGE: $32.33 - $52.43 per hour or your 2025-26 rate in this title for current Monroe One Boces staff
DUTIES:
1. Provide direct consultation to the classroom staff working with students.
2. Provide consultation and support to the families of students placed at Creekside School.
3. Conduct assessments of students (academic, behavioral, social, ect.).
4. Prepare Behavior Intervention Plans and Functional Behavior Assessments.
5. Attend and present at a variety of meetings (faculty, CSE, ect.).
6. Provide training to professional and non-professional staff related to best practices with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
7. Support families in accessing outside services and adult agencies that are prospective placements for student.
8. Participate in team meetings to assist in planning and curriculum development.
9. Provide crisis support or direction to school team and families when needed.
10. Collect and analysis behavioral data.
11. Establish positive rapport with students, school staff, and parents/guardians.
12. Provide consultation to related service providers working with student.
13. Stay current with certifications and research in the field.
14. Work closely with administration and classroom instructional leaders.
15. Follow and be able to explain MONROE#1 BOCES policies and procedures.
16. Develop positive rapport with district representatives for student placed at Monroe One BOCES.
17. Effectively communicate among home, school staff, districts and community support agencies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Master's Degree from accredited college in Special Education, School Psychology, or closely related field and Certified in New York State to practice in a school setting required OR Civil Service eligibility as Senior Student Behavioral Assistant.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Senior Student Behavioral Assistant eligibility includes either:
A. Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate’s degree (or completion of 60 college credits), plus two (2) years paid full time or its part time equivalent experience involving the supervision, counseling or instruction of students in a school facility, institution or agency devoted to the care, education, rehabilitation or detention of children; OR
B. Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor’s degree, plus one (1) year of experience as defined in (A); OR
C. Any equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.

2. Master's Degree from accredited college in Special Education, School Psychology, or closely related field preferred for Senior Student Behavioral Assistant.
3. A minimum of five years of experience working with students with disabilities desired.
4. Training and experience in Applied Behavioral Analysis; Board Certification (BCBA) or willing to pursue (Significant progress towards CBA must be completed prior to end of probationary period).
5. Working knowledge of Federal and State Special Education policies and procedures.
6. Knowledge of NYS Standards.
7. Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
