- Actual Salary Is Dependent Upon Education, Experience and Contract.
- Develop and implement appropriate individualized IEP goals and objectives.
- Prepare CSE packets as required.
- Ensure IEP Compliance.
- Establish and maintain professional working relationships.
- Support districts/teachers with their inquiries.
- Conduct Functional Vision and/or O/M Assessments.
- Perform related duties as agreed upon with the Department Administrators.
- Master’s Degree and NYS Certification as a Teacher of the Blind/Visually Impaired
- Certified/Qualified in Orientation and Mobility preferred.
- Experience as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired/Mobility Instructor preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to instruct in Braille inclusive of Nemeth Code preferred.
- Experience and/or Knowledge of Assistive Technology preferred.
- Open Minded and Flexible.
- Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills.
- Valid NY State Driver’s License.
- Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
