What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Technician position at MONROE PUBLIC SCHOOLS Monroe, CT?
- Implement programs developed by teacher and consultant
- Reinforce daily living, social skills, receptive and expressive language skills
- Maintain accurate data and graphing on all designated programs
- Plan and implement instructional sequences within self-contained classroom, inclusion environments, and reverse mainstream environments
- Meet regularly with consultant, special education teacher, support team
- Attend staff meetings
- Provide reports of student progress when deemed necessary by teacher and/or team
- Maintain student safety
- Implement behavior intervention plans designed to reinforce appropriate behaviors and eliminate inappropriate behaviors
- Bachelors Degree and/or Associates Degree
- Demonstrate knowledge of special education practices
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be flexible, creative, and demonstrate strong organizational skills
- Highly motivated and self directed
- Training in behavioral therapy preferred
