    Assistant to the Building Health Liaison - Manor Elementary School

    This is a union position that will be paid $15.00 per hour per the Assistant Master Agreement for 37.5 hours per week on an instructional year calendar.

    Reports to: Building Principal and District Registered Nurses

    Job Goal:
    The Assistant to the Building Health Liaison will work under the direction of the Building Health Liaison, providing support to address the health needs of students, assist in implementing the school health program, maintain medical/dietary records, and ensure appropriate care for medically and/or dietary fragile students.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Assist with managing and maintaining student health records, including health care plans.
    • Provide first aid and emergency care under the direction of the Building Health Liaison and district nurses in accordance with school district policies and procedures.
    • Support students with chronic health conditions or special medical needs as directed.
    • Support the management of student medications and treatments according to district policy.
    • Assist in health screenings, including checks for general health concerns and conditions affecting student well-being.
    • Act as the Health Liaison in the absence of the Building Health Liaison.

    Qualifications:

    • Must possess a high school diploma; college degree preferred.
    • Medical experience is highly preferred but not required.
    • Must be certified in CPR and basic First Aid.
    • Strong analytical and computer skills, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and strong communication abilities are required.
    • Ability to work independently and make decisions in accordance with established policies and regulations.
    • Practical experience and proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Demonstrates a verifiable record of excellent, positive, and productive relationships with people of all ages and backgrounds, and a commitment to equal opportunity for all.
    • Such other qualifications as the Board of Education deems acceptable.
