Position Overview:
The Commercial Mitigation Supervisor leads restoration activities for business properties and large-scale loss projects. This role is responsible for managing teams, coordinating with clients and adjusters, and ensuring the successful completion of complex restoration tasks, including drying, demolition, and reconstruction. The position demands expertise in handling logistics, documentation, strict adherence to safety and operational standards, and exceptional communication skills. This position requires domestic travel up to 25% of the time, outside of Indiana, to perform mitigation in areas that suffered a recent catastrophic disaster.
Working as part of a comprehensive restoration team, you will also have the opportunity to earn quarterly bonuses, based on performance, as part of a company profit-sharing plan!
Pay Range: $28 -$25/hour; based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership:
- Supervise restoration projects in commercial settings and oversee large loss jobs, ensuring quality and timeliness.
- Plan and execute large-scale restoration projects, including mobilizing resources and ensuring readiness for extensive operations.
- Monitor on-site activities for compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
- Retrieve and review work orders, ensure necessary equipment and materials are prepared, and delegate responsibilities to technicians.
Site Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for large loss clients, adjusters, and insurance representatives.
- Develop and manage project plans, scopes of work, and timelines for large loss and commercial projects.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders to optimize project outcomes and minimize costs.
- Address challenges promptly and provide clear progress updates to stakeholders.
Communication and Training:
- Explain restoration processes and project milestones to clients, ensuring clear understanding and satisfaction.
- Train, mentor, and manage teams to maintain efficiency and adherence to company policies.
- Foster collaboration among team members to enhance productivity and job performance.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Prepare and review comprehensive documentation, including notes, photos, sketches, and client approvals.
- Use restoration software to maintain accurate records for drying, project milestones, and invoicing.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, insurance carrier standards, and industry regulations.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; or 2 yrs of Experience as a Water Mitigation Technician
- Preferred but not required Mitigation/Restoration certifications:
- ASD (Applied Structural Drying Technician)
- FSRT (Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician)
- OCT (Odor Control Technician)
- WRT (Water Damage Restoration Technician)
- Demonstrated experience in commercial restoration or construction.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency with CRM databases or restoration/project management Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
· Willing to be On-Call (on a rotating basis).
· Willingness to travel domestically, outside the State of Indiana, up to 25% of the time.
· Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds frequently.
- Work in diverse environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, with variable climate control. Use of respirators as necessary for safety compliance.
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record and willing to undergo & pass a background check.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
