Job Description – Project Manager, South Bend/Elkhart
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Restoration Project Manager to join our team. The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing the rebuild of residential and commercial properties damaged by fire, water, and storm disasters. This role is responsible for supervising carpenters, subcontractors, and the overall progress of repairs, while also managing the customer experience. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership skills, and a proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Salary: Up to $70,000.00 per year; based on experience
Responsibilities
Project Planning and Scheduling:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Create and maintain project schedules, ensuring all tasks are completed on time.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project deliverables and expectations.
Budget Management:
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints.
- Monitor project expenses, track costs, and implement cost-saving measures when necessary.
- Update homeowner changes to selections through change orders or supplements.
- Partner with accounting and team coordinators to help ensure all accounts billed are received.
Team Leadership:
- Build and lead a high-performing project team, including construction professionals, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Provide guidance, support, and motivation to team members.
Contract Negotiation and Management:
- Negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Review and administer contracts, ensuring compliance and performance to meet project requirements, building codes, and legal requirements.
- Resolve contractual issues and disputes in a timely and effective manner.
- Manage subcontractors in the utilization of materials, facilities, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety on the construction site.
Quality Control and Assurance:
- Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure construction work meets industry standards and project specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address quality issues, and ensure job site cleanliness.
- Collaborate with the project team to implement corrective actions as needed.
Communication and Reporting:
- Reports job progress daily and communicates project updates, milestones, and issues to internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in regular project meetings to keep the team informed and aligned.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction project management, with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations, with 3 years of interior remodeling/construction experience.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Motivated to succeed, with a strong attention to detail.
- Driven to help others. You have a servant’s heart, you are a logical thinker, tech-savvy, and you have common sense.
- You live in or near South Bend, you have reliable transportation to and from various job sites and the office, and you have a (mostly) clean driving record and felony-free background check.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
