What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Manager position at Monroe Street United Methodist Church?
- 20 hours a week plus on-call, rate of pay to be determined
- Handling minor repairs:
- Plumbing repairs
- Electrical repairs and changing lighting tubes
- Small window repairs and pane replacement
- Painting project
- Minor carpentry repairs and renovations
- Maintain and monitor the following:
- Water softeners
- Heating and ventilating systems, including compressor and thermostats
- Assist with boiler, makeup water tank blowdowns
- Perform the anti-corrosion protocols, including filter cleanout
- Responsible for sump pump maintenance
- Church Events
- Assist with setups and takedowns for special events
- Oversee cleaning staff to ensure area is ready and maintained
- Essential physical requirements; heavy lifting, walking, bending and climb and work from a ladder
- Communicate with Trustee updates and any potential issues
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- On call
