What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Paint Applicator position at Monroe Truck Equipment?
SCOPE OF POSITION:
As a Paint Applicator I you are responsible for applying paint and similar coatings to materials related to the trailer manufacturing and truck upfit process.A Paint Applicator uses a 2k paint mixing machine and gun flush boxes to complete their projects.
Responsibilities:
- Paint trailers, using blueprints and other work instructions to complete projects to standard.
- Maintain standard level of coating finish to comply with PPG warranty program.
- Clean paint gun using a gun cleaning kit.
- Perform simple booth maintenance and equipment repair as required.
Qualifications:
- Prior paint experience a plus.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs without assistance from various positions.
- Ability to use cranes and hoists.
- Ability to safely use hand, air, pneumatic, and power tools, and machinery.
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and layout and other written or verbal instructions presented in English.
