Position Overview
Monroe University is seeking a creative and outgoing Social Media Content Creator to lead our social media efforts, grow engagement, and authentically capture campus life. This role thrives in a fast-paced environment, requiring an energetic personality to interact with students, attend events, and create impactful content. As part of our small but highly effective marketing team, you’ll drive social media strategy and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage social media strategy for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X and LinkedIn.
- Be on campus multiple times a week to capture photos, videos, and stories showcasing events, student life, and campus vibrancy.
- Create and edit dynamic, high-quality content, including short-form videos, graphics, and written posts.
- Write engaging and creative captions, posts, and copy tailored to various audiences and platforms.
- Interact with students, faculty, and staff to authentically tell the University’s story.
- Analyze social media performance and adapt strategies to increase engagement.
- Stay current with social media trends to keep content fresh and relevant.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
- 2 years of social media content creation experience (higher education experience a plus but not required).
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to craft compelling, on-brand messages for various audiences.
- Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
- Skilled in short-form video production (TikTok's, Reels) and storytelling.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Photography and videography experience are a plus.
Work Environment
- Must be on campus multiple times weekly, with occasional evening/weekend event coverage.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
