*Job Summary*
As a Monitor Technician at our healthcare facility, you will play a crucial role in patient care by monitoring cardiac rhythms and assisting in the detection of life-threatening situations. Your attention to detail and ability to interpret data will directly impact patient outcomes.
Responsibilities Include:
· Under the supervision of the Nursing Supervisor provides Monitor Technician/Unit Secretary support for the assigned unit.
· Continuously observes cardiac monitor readings, interpreting the readings and reporting results timely to the assigned Registered Nurse.
· Assists in maintaining cardiac monitor equipment, reporting malfunctions timely to the Nursing Supervisor and Biomedical Technician for repair.
· Transcribes physician orders from records with notation and signatures by the nursing staff. Assembles and thins medical records in the department. Maintains unit logs as assigned.
Licenses/Certifications:
· Class in Medical Terminology (preferred)
· Certificate of completion from a basic and/or intermediate dysrhythmia interpretation class.
· Current BLS certification
Skills/Qualifications:
· Six (6) months prior experience as a monitor technician (preferred).
Pay: $21.00 - $27 per hour plus Differential rates on weekends and night shift
