Job Overview
The Monrovia Internship Program is a hands-on learning experience for students majoring in Ornamental Horticulture or related fields who are passionate about plants and eager to learn.
As an intern, you will work alongside experienced craftsmen at one of our nurseries from June to August, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the nursery operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Work in all areas of the nursery to gain a thorough understanding of the growth process.
- Participate in classroom learning and a scheduled field trip.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Ornamental Horticulture or a related field.
- Excited to learn and take feedback constructively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm and ½ day on Saturdays.
- Physically able to maneuver around the office and nursery, lift up to 35 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Interested in career opportunities with Monrovia after completing the internship.
