RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Read plans to create job scopes, quantity take-offs, and materials lists.
- Go to projects to create job scopes and materials lists
- Draw riser diagrams and create load calculations for permitting.
- Create job punch outs related to ongoing client and designer requests at key phases of the job. End of rough, end of trim, etc. to ensure completion of the desired product.
- Create printed panel labels for completed jobs.
- Plans, and executes electrical work, at quality exceeding the NEC standard. NEC is a minimum safety standard, not a quality standard.
- Is comfortable delegating work to an apprentice.
- Assures availability of equipment, materials, and supplies to securely complete a project
- Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits, etc.
- Execute plans of electrical wiring for lighting and electrical systems.
- Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels, etc.)
- Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks, ensuring compatibility of components
Setting Description:

JOB EXPECTATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Clean criminal background check.
- Neat and professional appearance.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent English is a plus, Basic English is required (Hablamos español)
- Proven experience as an electrician
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of existing systems
- Knowledge in low voltage and high voltage installations.
- Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter, etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints
- National Electric Code knowledge
- Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts
