Sterling is seeking Full time Boiler Plant Operators for the Hot Springs VAMC in Hot
Springs, South Dakota.
Boiler Plant Operators must be able to obtain a South Dakota Rural Water License for basic water treatment.
In addition, Boiler Plant Operators must have knowledge of steam generation; VA and manufacturer recommend practices; oil and leak detection systems; spill, prevention, control, and countermeasure plan; adjusting firing controls; boiler safety inspection; and the entirety of the boiler plant system
Period of performance is one year
Work Hours :
Operators sustain a 24 / 7 week operation.
The operators typically work 8 hour shifts.
The shifts are 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM, 4 : 00 PM to 12 : 00 AM, and 12 : 00 to 8 : 00 AM
