Core Prep Technician

Position Summary:

Monster Transmission & Performance is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Core Prep Technician. The Core Prep Technician will play a crucial role in our transmission manufacturing process by disassembling transmissions, cleaning individual components, operating part washer machinery, and ensuring that cleaned parts are efficiently transferred for painting. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, can-do attitude, and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards. This is an entry-level role within our Production Department and will potentially prepare you for an advanced role in production. Previous Transmission experience is not required for this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Disassemble transmissions into individual components while maintaining the integrity of each part.
• Inspect parts for damage or wear and report findings to the supervisor.
• Clean transmission parts thoroughly using various cleaning tools and equipment.
• Remove contaminants such as oil, grease, and dirt to ensure parts are ready for the next stages of manufacturing.
• Operate automated part washer machinery to efficiently clean transmission components.
• Monitor and adjust machine settings as needed to achieve optimal cleaning results.
• Inspect cleaned parts for any remaining contaminants or imperfections.
• Ensure all parts meet quality standards before transferring them to be painted.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations related to part washing and manufacturing processes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Ability to lift and carry heavy transmission components, tools, and equipment, often weighing up to 75 pounds. Exceptional hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to handle small parts and perform intricate assembly tasks with precision. Extended periods of standing and working in a workshop environment. Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch for extended periods while working on transmissions in various positions. This is a fast-paced automotive workshop, you'll be exposed often to noise, and vibrations.
