Position Summary:
The Torque Converter Builder plays a crucial role in the remanufacturing process by assembling, inspecting, and testing torque converters. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to quality. The Torque Converter Builder ensures that each unit meets stringent performance and safety standards, contributing to the reliability and efficiency of the final product.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cut open the core, clean the core, then rebuild or weld the core together.
- Use calipers and other measuring tools to ensure precise assembly.
- Utilize power tools for cutting, drilling, and shaping materials.
- Weld components together as needed.
- Assemble electrical components and wiring systems.
- Work with logic controllers for automation systems.
Skills:
- Proficiency in using calipers for accurate measurements.
- Experience with industrial equipment and machinery.
- Mechanical knowledge for construction and assembly tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately.
- Welding skills for joining metal components.
- Proficient in using power tools for various tasks.
- Strong ability to assemble components accurately.
Qualifications:
- 2 or more years of experience with torque converters.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Authorized to work in the US.
