Shop and Equipment Manager
Shop and Equipment Manager will be in charge of the day-to-day operations of our shop and equipment, as well as coordinating projects with shop staff. The shop manager's responsibilities include : enforcing company policies, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and managing financial aspects of shop and equipment operations.
To be successful as a shop manager you should have excellent people management skills and a good understanding of business operations. An outstanding shop manager should be able to ensure smooth operations and maximum profitability of a shop.
Shop Manager Responsibilities :
- Managing and accounting for all service repairs and shop expenses.
- Ordering, recording, and managing inventory as required by the company
- Ensuring the shop is adequately stocked, cleaned, and visually appealing at all times.
- Attends managers meetings and holds weekly department meetings.
- Directs and schedules the activities of all department employees.
- Hires, trains, motivates, counsels and monitors the performance of all shop department staff.
- Work on all small and large equipment as needed.
- Help with delivery of equipment and materials
- Manage shop inventory and buyout of bulk shop materials.
- Strives for harmony and teamwork within the department and with all other departments.
- Maintains a safe work environment.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
- Handles customer issues.
- Ensures all staff adheres to safety standards, company policies, and procedures.
- Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc.
