Here is what is needed to be part of this amazing team:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Prior recreation/activities experience in a nursing home preferred.
- An ability to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.
- Excellent Communication Skills- communicate with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
Responsibilities:
- Engage in activities with residents, resident families and/or visitors
- Assist in planning recreational activities based on the needs and interests of residents
- Document recreation activities per organizational policy
- Ensure residents receive the highest quality of care through recreational based activities
