What are the responsibilities and job description for the Long-Term Substitute Math Teacher position at Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School?
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teaches Math full-time to students in grades 11-12.
Instruct pupils in citizenship, basic communication skills, and other general elements of the competency-based course of study common to all teachers, as specified in state law, administrative regulations, and procedures of the school district.
Develops lesson plans, maintains a planbook, and organizes class time so that preparation, instruction, shop work, and clean-up activities can be accomplished within the allotted time.
Delivers instruction to students in accordance with the Curriculum Frameworks issued by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Grades and monitors student progress through the use of progress reports and report cards.
Communicates with parents, and school counselors on individual pupil progress.
Attends special education individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, where the teacher’s presence is required.
Promotes the learning and growth of all students through ethical, culturally proficient, skilled, and collaborative practice.
Provides supervision and extra help to students where needed.
Attends meetings as required by the teacher contracts.
Performs other duties assigned by the Superintendent-Director.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:This position may require long periods of standing and lifting for long periods of time. The Individual may be exposed to ultraviolet lights found in computer monitors and copying equipment.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:Temporary (March 21, 2025 - June 13, 2025)
EVALUATION:As per the Teachers’ Contract.
