Job Description :
The Ohana Supervising Therapist reports to the Clinical Program Manager and is responsible for providing evaluations and individual, family, and group therapy to children, adolescents, and their families. In addition, The Supervising Therapist provides clinical oversight, guidance, and support to a team of unlicensed therapists and mental health professionals. This role ensures that therapeutic services are delivered in alignment with evidence-based practices, ethical standards, and organizational policies. The Supervising Therapist also provides direct clinical services, develops treatment plans, and facilitates staff development, training, and mental health education to patients and, as appropriate, to the community and other professionals. Other important dimensions of this position include commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and quality of care and outcomes measurements, professionalism, and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Must have strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and curiosity as well as comfort prioritizing safety and quality of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Supervision : Provide individual and group supervision to therapists, interns, and other clinical staff.Review and evaluate clinical documentation, treatment plans, and progress notes to ensure accuracy and compliance.Offer guidance on complex cases, including crisis intervention and risk assessment.Assist therapists in developing clinical skills and improving therapeutic interventions.
- Clinical Oversight : Ensure that therapeutic services are delivered effectively, meeting organizational goals and client needs.Collaborate with program managers, clinical and medical directors, or administrative staff to enhance program delivery and evaluate outcomes.Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining evidence-based therapeutic programs.
- Training & Development : In collaboration with clinical directors and program managers, design and facilitate training sessions for staff on clinical skills, therapeutic modalities, and best practices.Support the professional development of clinical staff through mentoring and skill-building opportunities.Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and advancements in therapy to ensure continuous improvement.
- Direct Client Services : Provide therapy to a group of clients, including individual, family, or group therapy, within their program and area of expertise.Conduct assessments, diagnose mental health conditions, and create treatment plans.Manage documentation and case files in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Administrative Responsibilities : Participate in regular meetings with clinical leadership and multidisciplinary teams.Monitor the workload and performance of therapists to ensure effective service delivery.Assist in the hiring and onboarding process for new clinical staff, including interns or trainees.

Education
Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work, Counseling, clinical Psychology or Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy is required.
Licensure / Certification
LCSW, LMFT is required. American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification required. MOAB certification must be obtained within the first 6 months of hire. Will complete mandatory 5150 training by Monterey County to obtain 5150 certification and obtain 5150 Professional staff authorization yearly.
