Controller
Montagne Development Inc is an established and successful real estate development company. For the past 25 years we have steadily increased our real estate portfolio to 2000 Multi-Family Apartments, a Storage Unit Facility and Several Commercial Real Estate Holdings. We are in need of a full time Controller to join our team.
The Controller will work directly with the CFO and the President to facilitate the timely and accurate financial accounting and reporting for the company. This is a hands-on position with tremendous growth and upside for the right person.
Specific Duties of this Position Include:
- Preparing and consolidating financial statements
- Establishing and maintaining internal controls
- Managing all aspects of the general ledger
- Providing monthly, quarterly and year-end analyses
- Coordinating or assisting with the budget process
- Researching accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles
- Analyzing and reporting cost variances
- Construction contract administration
- Payroll preparation and reporting
- Accounts receivable, accounts payable and general accounting
Attributes of a Strong Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or associate degree in business related curriculum coupled with relevant prior accounting experience.
- Prefer 3 years of accounting experience. Construction/property management experience a plus!
- Deep understanding of Finance and Accounting processes.
- Expertise in driving continuous improvement and business process management.
- Strong computer skills, including MS/Google Office, QuickBooks
- Facilitation, detailed collaboration, and effective communication.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- Demonstrate integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and empathy.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
