Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of construction equipment, and machinery. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, experience in diagnosing issues, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair construction equipment, including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and trucks.
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, brake adjustments, and tire replacements.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system issues.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
- Ensure all work is completed following company and safety standards.
- Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
- Assist with emergency repairs as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in mechanics preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience
- Strong knowledge of diesel and gas engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
- Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and schematics.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and repair software.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
