Engineer

Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day to day work routine for self and others. Performs detailed engineering designs, economic analyses, and cost estimates for construction and O&M projects. Responsible for ensuring the Company’s natural gas operations remain compliant with Federal and State pipeline safety regulations. Provides direction, training, technical guidance, and resource knowledge to departmental staff and regional personnel.

Level III: Applies a broad range of engineering skills and techniques, leads projects, and provides direction to lower-level engineers.

Level Sr.: Applies developed engineering skills and techniques, manages projects, provides leadership and technical support to co-workers and operates with broad authority for decisions affected assigned functions.

This position will support RNG projects and Thermal Energy Network (TEN) projects by focusing on supporting and coordinating with the Business Development and Industrial Service departments on all existing and future RNG and TEN projects. This position will provide engineering design, material specification, technical support, standardization, and research of RNG projects, facilities, and equipment. Responsible for coordination with company engineers, field employees and external consultants on RNG facilities and TEN projects as well as provide support of company owned RNG landfill equipment, operations and processes. Responsible for maintaining knowledge of evolving technology and research related to the RNG and TEN industries. Required to develop and maintain company standards, policies and procedures related to RNG and TENs and provide technical input and guidance on other Company documents.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Engineer III: ($94,460- $118,080)

• A Bachelor's degree in an engineering (Mechanical, Civil or Electrical); and
• Five years of progressively responsible experience and understanding in the energy industry including utility electric and gas operations, maintenance, design, and project management.

Engineer Sr: ($114,580 - $143,220) 

• A Bachelor's degree in an engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical); and
• Seven years of progressively responsible experience and understanding in the energy industry utility electric and gas operations, maintenance, design and project management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• An EI (Engineering Intern or EIT (Engineering in Training) Certificate
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) designation

JOB RESPONSIBILTIES

• Initiates design specifications and drawings of natural gas facilities. Approves final designs prepared by GIS.
• Assists in the development of design, installation, operations, maintenance, and safety procedures. 
• Assets with investigations of material and failures of Company's natural gas system to determine cause and origin of failures in accordance with DOT regulation requirements.
• Maintains knowledge of industry staff in absence of department manager. Provide technical, informational and recommendations to management.
• Performs assigned duties associated with the development, oversight, and supervision of the various Company Compliance Plans.
• Performs all other tasks and special projects as assigned.

• Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access. 
• Required to maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Moderate travel requirements (25%).
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
