Job Description: We are looking for a reliable, hard-working Snow Removal Laborer/Shoveler to join our team this winter season. As a snow removal laborer, you will be responsible for clearing snow from walkways, driveways, parking lots, and other designated areas to ensure safe and accessible conditions for our clients. This is a physically demanding role that requires working in cold and snowy conditions, so a strong work ethic and ability to stay on task during adverse weather are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Shovel and remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and other specified areas
- Ensure all areas are free of snow and ice, providing safe passage for pedestrians and vehicles
- Operate snow removal equipment when needed (snow blowers, salt spreaders, etc.)
- Apply salt or ice melt as required
- Work efficiently and safely, following all safety guidelines and procedures
- Report any hazards or issues to the supervisor immediately
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition
Qualifications:
- Ability to work in cold, snowy, and icy conditions for extended periods
- Physical stamina to lift, carry, and shovel heavy snow
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Reliable transportation to and from work sites
- Previous snow removal experience is a plus but not required
- Must be able to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as snow removal may be needed at any time during winter weather events
