What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometric Technician position at Montana Eyecare?
Scheduled hours vary depending on the day, training period is typically 8-5pm then after you are more comfortable with the position you are folded into the normal schedule - typically 8:30-5:30pm.
Saturdays are on a rotation, only one doctor, so limited staff. Only 1 tech on a Saturday.
Can trade with other department members if you have plans.
Salary: $17-$20 per hour depending experience

· Duties Include: pre-testing patients before doctor sees them for their appointment, this includes entering information into their electronic health record, running several tests on a patient’s eyes using unique and state of the art equipment, making sure the doctor is able to stay on time by being efficient in tasks and communication, instilling eye drops into patients eyes, assisting the doctor during certain procedures if required, ordering contact lens boxes and trial lenses, scanning in contact lens orders into inventory, working with patients new to contacts and training them, answering the phone, sending prescriptions to pharmacies for patients, and any other duties as assigned.
