What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometric Technician/Receptionist position at Montana Family Vision Care?
While experience is preferred, we will consider training a candidate who is friendly, outgoing, and comfortable with computers. This is an excellent opportunity to start a new carree with on the job, hands-on training with a family centered business.
Duties inlcude: Scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, testing patients for visual acuity and intraocular pressure, preparing exam forms, educating new contact lens patients, assisting the optician in dispensing glasses and preforming minor repairs, compiling charge and preparing for billing, ordering optical goods including contact lenses, and filing.
In addition to Optometic Tech, this is a front desk Receptionist position. You will be the first employee patients meet and you will be the last employee patients say goodbye to. Canidates MUST enjoy working with people! And YES some patients can be diifficult.
Hours: This is a part-time position with full-time potential. While we prefer a candiate that can work M-F, 8:00-5:00, we may be able to be flexiable around family and school committments.
Salary: Dependent on experience.
