We are currently seeking a department manager to take charge of our Delivery & Installation team. While primarily tasked with overseeing the department crew, this role also actively participates in our deliveries, installations, and pick-ups. This includes driving trucks and/or trailers, leading crews onsite, and ensuring all paperwork is properly completed. The Delivery & Installation Manager sets the standard for their department, training and mentoring fellow team members to achieve business standards and company goals. This versatile role contributes to the company’s success through improving efficiency and productivity in the warehouse, while helping to cultivate accountability and teamwork amongst all departments.
Job Description
The Delivery & Installation Manager is primarily responsible for the operations and employees of the warehouse department. They will manage and oversee the daily operations of the department, including monitoring performance, ensuring productivity, and providing guidance and support to team members. This lead’s role is to ensure the department runs smoothly and successfully, with the recognition that their leadership directly impacts the department and company’s overall performance. Tasked with cultivating a harmonious and productive working environment, the ideal candidate will have experience with leadership and the general processes of management, including a proven track record of achieving organizational goals.
A typical day starts at the MPR warehouse, then delivery and installation crew members commute to job sites in company vehicles to various locations, which means the day-to-day is almost never the same. When not actively in the field, some key tasks for this department include cleaning and maintaining rental inventory, preparing upcoming orders, loading inventory for upcoming events, and ensuring all workplaces and vehicles are cleaned and orderly. This managerial role will work closely with other departments to ensure alignment and collaboration within the company, with the aim of meeting storewide deadlines and goals. They will also help the company with the execution of daily operations through staff training, supervision, and team building.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Training, managing, leading, and mentoring departmental staff
- Participating and leading deliveries, installations, and pick-ups
- Enforcing policies and procedures to ensure the department operates efficiently within the greater company
- Regularly communicating job and departmental expectations, goals, and priorities to team members
- Routinely connecting and communicating with leadership team
- Assisting with the creation and management of schedules and assignments for departmental employees to ensure proper coverage and efficient use of resources
- Conducting and improving driving trainings for delivery and installation team
- Ensuring company vehicles and workspaces are kept orderly, clean, and functional

Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a management or leadership role
- Experience driving trucks and/or trailers
