What are the responsibilities and job description for the Store Associate position at Montana Rescue Mission?
Our full-time employees medical, vision, dental, and life insurance premiums are paid by the company. The Montana Rescue Mission Bargain Center is looking for a Store Associate. This person should have a general understanding of all aspects of Store Operations. Be able to assist customers by providing excellent customer service and making sure that merchandise is handled, sorted, displayed and sold in accordance with MRM standards.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent customer service skills, working with donors, and employees with courtesy and tact.
- Good math skills, accuracy and efficiency with customer transactions
- Excellent attitude, personable, friendly and courteous
- Dependable, trustworthy, conscientious, honest and punctual
- Basic computer skills and internet utilization
- Ability to organize, prioritize and complete tasks and projects in a timely manner
- Ability to work independently and/or part of a team
- Ability to use point of sale equipment
- Ability and willingness to work varied shifts
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- One year of prior cashier experience preferred
- One year Customer Service preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time on a hard floor
- Ability to continuously grasp, push, pull objects and reach overhead
- Ability to repetitively lift 35 to 50 lbs
- Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead for duties such as stocking store shelves
