Experience Required:
- Experience in one or more of the following: advising, orientation, retention, or mentoring roles
- Knowledge of the typical problems encountered by undergraduate students in selecting a course of study and in successfully preparing a plan of study to prepare for entry into a degree program
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Demonstrated ability to organize a wide range of complex tasks and attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Understand diversity, differences and institutional/social barriers influencing students
- Experience in one or more of the following: advising, orientation, retention, or mentoring roles
- Ability to work independently as well as function as part of a team
- Demonstrated knowledge of higher education offices and resources that support student success
- Experience working with enrollment and degree auditing software such as DegreeWorks, Banner, MyInfo or other database
