Reporting to the Manager for Faculty Led Study Abroad and Travel Compliance, the Faculty Led Study Abroad Coordinator is a critical team member in achieving the mission of excellent customer service and support to MSU students pursuing group international travel. In this role, the Faculty Led Study Abroad Coordinator promotes group international travel; supports the health, safety, and compliance of all MSU student travelers; and provides assistance to the Manager for Faculty Led Study Abroad and Travel Compliance to grow group international travel programs at Montana State University.

In this role, the Faculty Led Study Abroad Coordinator promotes group international travel; supports the health, safety, and compliance of all MSU student travelers; and provides assistance to the Manager for Faculty Led Study Abroad and Travel Compliance to grow group international travel programs at Montana State University.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead program recruitment efforts for Faculty Led Study Abroad.
- Advise students on navigating and managing group international travel.
- Organize and implement student orientations, including emergency response management.
- Oversee the day-to-day health, safety, and compliance of student participants during Faculty Led Study Abroad.
- Assist Manager for Faculty Led Study Abroad and International Travel Compliance, including developing and implementing student assessment measures; assisting program design, curriculum development, and course management; and promoting Faculty Led Study Abroad and the Office of International Programs across campus.
- Serve as additional approver on all international travel compliance.
- Co-lead Faculty Led Study Abroad programs.
- Serve on committees for travel health, safety, and compliance.
- Attend conferences nationally and internationally.
- Assist office programs and events.
- Serve as point of contact for office visitors.
Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in International Education, Social Science (History, Political Science, etc), Business, Communications, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Progressively responsible experience working with undergraduate students.
Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
- Two (2) years experience in Higher Education field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Frequent or experienced traveler, internationally and/or domestically.

Position Special Requirements/Additional Information
- This position requires occasional evening and/or weekend hours for scheduled events depending on department need.
- Occasional domestic travel may be required
