Custodian I- HPER Facilities

• Daily cleaning of public restrooms and locker rooms, which includes cleaning toilets, urinals, sinks, showers, walls, stall partitions, floors (sweeping and daily mopping), vents, mirrors, lockers, and dispensers. Daily restocking of paper products, and hand soaps.
• Daily cleaning of floors, stairs, drinking fountains, and entry glass of Fitness Center and Weight Room areas - all three floors. Perform weekly, and as needed,  cleaning of air vents and walls within the fitness center / weight room. Occasional cleaning of fitness center equipment, as requested.
• Daily dust mopping of floors in the gymnasium, dance studio, main building lobby, and hallways through out the building. Wet mopping and scrubbing of these areas on a daily to weekly basis as needed.
• Daily cleaning of offices, meeting rooms, classrooms, lounges, entrances, stairwells, training room, and other areas as assigned.
• Daily cleaning of elevator, and drinking fountains throughout the entire HPER facility.
• Daily cleaning of the pool deck; and walls and ductwork within the pool area, as needed.
• Cleaning of women's weight workout area, other old racquetball court areas, and laundry / equipment room, as requested.
• Responsible for snow removal around all entrances into the HPER facility. This includes hand shoveling of snow and removal of ice building up by spreading ice melt product.
• Have working knowledge of proper cleaning methods and procedures in a safe and efficient manner.
• Follow safe work practices and participate in safety and custodial training meetings as required. Display proper knowledge, care, and use of cleaning products, supplies, and custodial equipment.
• Be able to properly lift 50 - 80 pounds from ground level to a height of 4' - 6" and be able to carry 40 pounds for a maximum distance of 30 feet.
• Be capable of following oral and written instructions.
• Will work alone, and on occasion, as part of a team.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Custodial Lead person or Manager.
• Display willingness to respond to campus outside of normal work hours and on weekends for emergency clean-ups or approved overtime.

• Be able to properly lift 50 - 80 pounds from ground level to a height of 4' - 6" and be able to carry 40 pounds for a maximum distance of 30 feet.
• Must be physically capable of performing for snow removal around all entrances into the HPER facility. This includes hand shoveling of snow and removal of ice building up by spreading ice melt product.
• Be capable of following oral and written instructions.

• Experience in institutional/commercial custodial work and restorative floorcare.
• Working knowledge of proper cleaning methods, procedures and cleaning machines in a safe and efficient manner. 
• Working knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) for all cleaning products used.
