The Biological Sciences Department at Montana Technological University invites applications for a tenure track instructor position. The Department offers a kinesiology-based bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Health Sciences. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to this program through effective course instruction, student advising and service to the campus through departmental recruiting activities and committee service. Courses to be taught include Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics, Prevention and Care of Athletic Injuries, Advanced Exercise Testing and Prescription and others as needed. Applicants must have a M.S. degree in kinesiology, exercise science, or relevant field, relevant teaching experience at the undergraduate level, and the following certifications: NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and NATA BOC Certified Athletic Training.

Duties:
Primary duties for this position include teaching a range of courses that may include but are not limited to: Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics, Prevention and Care of Athletic Injuries, Human Performance Laboratory Evaluation Techniques, Advanced Exercise Testing and Prescription, Anatomy and Physiology labs, as well as other pertinent courses to be developed. The normal teaching expectation is 12 credits/ semester

- relevant university teaching experience and the following certifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD in kinesiology, exercise science or relevant field.
- Experience teaching exercise physiology, biomechanics, prevention and care of athletic injuries
