HOURS : Full Time

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS : This position is paid in accordance with the Greenville Education Association Master Agreement. This position is eligible for benefits.

JOB SUMMARY : The High School Math Teacher will help students learn mathematics skills that will contribute to their educational and social development while teaching the required curriculum as adopted by the Board of Education.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : other duties may be assigned

• Instruct students in citizenship and basic subject matter as specified in state law and the administrative regulations and procedures of the school district
• Teach district-approved curriculum
• Translate lesson plans into developmentally appropriate learning experiences
• Communicate regularly with parents outside of the normal classroom day by means of newsletters, notes, phone calls, conferences, etc.
• Evaluate student academic and social growth
• Keep appropriate records and prepare progress reports
• Identify student needs, make appropriate referrals, and develop strategies for individual education plans
